Case 1- Eircom
In 2008 Eircom needed to deliver significant change within the Networks Service Delivery and Service Assurance teams. The networks business model and work practices had changed, as well as the role and number of Front Line Managers. This required new behaviours and work competencies.
PACE Learning designed an Eircom Assessment Centre for selecting the behaviours and key competencies required in the new business model. 96 managers attended a one day assessment that consisted of:
  • Competency based interviews
  • One-to-one performance reviews with an “employee” simulation
  • Group meeting activity
  • Technical knowledge activity

We also supported the newly selected managers with a skills development programme designed around the four key competencies of the new Front Line Manager role.
This programme played a key role in signaling change. It sent out strong messages supporting the new business model, new ways of working and new behaviours in the management population.

Case 2- 2007

In 2007 Dutch bank ABN AMRO was subject to an aggressive takeover by Barclays Bank and a consortium led by RBS and Santander. The acquisition struggle lasted 10 months. PACE Learning was engaged by PRITCHETT to  support Senior Leaders, Line Managers and HR managers during this period. With PRITCHETT we delivered change management training and practical tools to enable them and their employees to navigate the acquisition successfully.

Case 3 – Arrow Electronics 2008

In 2008 Arrow Electronics streamlined its business by integrating IT systems and changing work practices. Working with PRITCHETT we trained managers across Europe in the people and emotional aspect of change. We gave them tools to support themselves, their employees and the business during the integration.
